Review Jurlique Herbal Recovery Eye Gel
By Sandra C.
Packaging This Jurlique Herbal Recovery Eye Gel comes in a glass pump bottle with 15ml content, it is a bit heavy to put in your bag.
Application Jurlique Herbal Recovery Eye Gel is too watery to be an eye gel. It feels more like eye serum than eye gel. However, it does spread easy due to the texture. I used it generously day and night for over a month but there is still two third left in the bottle.
Scent I was a bit put off by the smell. I can’t figure out what kind of funny smell it is but it is definitely not my type. It is like the kind of home remedy oil that old ladies use.
Ingredients The packaging claims that the ingredients in Jurlique Herbal Recovery Eye Gel, arnica and eyebright “help to firm and brighten the delicate skin around the eye area” and this eye gel is packed with a lot of herbal extract. However, what disappointed me is the other far from natural ingredients such as alcohol, a preservative Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate that could be irritating, and chemicals like the PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate which uses as an emulsifier. For 15ml of eye gel costing £33, I would expect more organic or natural ingredients.
Result When I first applied it on the delicate area around my eye, it stung. It was a slight burning sensation around my eye which really worried me. However, I gave it a go and have been using for a month, it doesn’t always stings but on some days it really does. The only good thing about this eye gel is that when my eyes feel really puffy on the morning, I apply a little bit on the eye bags area, and it gives a firming effect. It doesn’t hydrate or smooth any wrinkles as the packaging claims.
Pros:
It does firm the eye contour area.
Cons:
The smell is not nice.
It gave me allergy.
It doesn’t hydrate my skin nor smooth any wrinkles as it claims.
