Trevarno Hand Cream Reviews

Review of Trevarno Olive & Almond Hand Cream
By Shona B.

Packaging: The Trevarno Olive & Almond Hand Cream comes in a very sleek royal blue glass jar with silver screw top and sticky black label. At first the jar seems surprisingly small but when you realize how little you need you realize that it’s quite an adequate size. The jar looks good sitting on the bedside table but the glass means you can’t carry it around with you. The screw top lid is a little fiddly to use when you’ve just used the cream but overall the glass jar does look better than a squeezy tube.

Application: The Trevarno Olive & Almond Hand Cream is like a thick whipped cream. It’s not at all runny and you only need a small amount to cover your hands. The Trevarno cream feels a little wet on application but actually soaks in really quickly and the coolness is refreshing. It’s thick enough to feel like you’re using something substantial and that will moisturize but not so thick you have to spend ages rubbing it in. The Trevarno skincare jar is a little unhygienic as you have to keep sticking fingers in but you don’t end up with crusty bits around the neck like tubes. I liked using it on my feet as well as my hands because it was cooling and soothed dry skin.

Ingredients: The ingredients are listed as follows: Lavender Flower Water is blended with Olive Oil infused with Comfrey, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, along with Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E, and essential oils of Geranium, Grapefruit & Juniper. The product actually smells lightly of almonds but not marzipan. I really like the smell.

Results: The Trevarno Hand Cream product soaked in quickly and left skin refreshed and hydrated. It didn’t completely transform very dry or hard patches but certainly helped with day to day moisturising needs of skin. My hands looked more even toned after use but it made little difference to my cuticles.

Best For: Hands (and elbows and feet!) which are already in reasonable condition and need a fuss free every day moisturizer.

Pros:
Quick to soak in – could hold a pen straight away
Would last a surprisingly long time
The cool, wet feeling of the cream is very refreshing
It’s suitable for vegans and pregnant women.
Cons:
Doesn’t tackle very dry or hard skin
Would be nice if it came in a bigger size
The packaging isn’t the most user friendly for something you would want to carry around
