Weleda Almond Cleansing Lotion Reviews

Review of Weleda Almond Cleansing Lotion
By Debbie R.

The Weleda Almond Cleansing Lotion has a great non-greasy feel and is easily applied. It wipes across the skins surface effortlessly and has a gentle formulation – this is not a harsh chemical cleaner. It is not overly absorbent and so can be wiped off easily. A little goes a long way of Weleda Almond Cleansing Lotion and it can be applied sparingly on a variety of applicators.

Some cream based cleansers can leave the skin feeling unclean, or worse, clogged up, but this Weleda Almond Cleanser leaves the skin feeling fresh and supple – and unlike some cream style cleansers I could actually see the evidence of dirt removal on the cotton pad! Weleda Almond Cleansing Lotion has a very mild scent of almond with a background hint of something like alcohol, which is not altogether pleasant and can linger for around 30 minutes or so after application. However, an hour after use of Weleda Almond Lotion all that can be detected is a faint hint of almond.

The metal tube of Weleda Cleansing Lotion is simple and retro and like toothpaste tubes of old may take some effort to get every last drop out of it.

Over the product trial period the Weleda Cleanser performed effectively as a cleanser and even managed to remove makeup easily, with the exception of mascara!

Pai Geranium Skin Cream Reviews

Review of Pai Geranium Skin Cream

By Liz B.

I liked this Pai Geranium & Thistle Combination Skin Cream. The texture was smooth and silky and left my skin feeling very soft. The Pai Geranium Skin Cream was very natural smelling with a strong scent of geranium – I liked it but I think it might be too strong for those not keen on heavy essential oil scents.

I think Pai Geranium Skin Cream would suit a combination skin that errs towards oily, or a drier combination skin in the summer. It wasn’t really rich enough for my cheeks in autumn, although I think it would be great in warmer weather. On my oily T-zone Pai Skincare Geranium Skin Cream was just right, and did not make my nose extra-shiny. From my sample usage I would consider buying the full size product for summer use.

I can’t really comment on the packaging of Pai Cream for Combination Skin as I only have experience of the tester product. However, the full size product of Pai Geranium Skin Cream seems to come in a pump dispenser, which is my preference. I do not like to use moisturisers from pots, especially natural ones with short shelf lives, as they will never be particularly hygienic.

I like the fact that Pai is certified organic by the Soil Association – this gives me great comfort that the products are truly organic. All round the Pai Geranium Face Cream is a great product and from my experience I would try more of their range.

Weleda Skin Food Reviews

Review of Weleda Skin Food
By Geri A.

Packaging Weleda Skin Food for dry skin comes in a green tube, which in turn, is packed into a green box. The tube has a white plastic top and I had to pierce the top of the tube with the top part of the white cap in order to extract the cream. This is a good thing because it ensures that it has not been tampered with. The green tube of Weleda Skin Food has white writing on it so it is easy to read. An instruction leaflet comes with the tube and gives more information.

Application The Weleda skin food has a light pleasant smell and the fragrance is created from aro-matherapy oils. The cream came out of the tube easily and when I put it onto my skin it was ab-sorbed quickly. It is not oily so it is ideal for wearing at night. It is also good under make-up. The Weleda Skin Food is nourishing and it left my skin feeling smooth and supple. It is especially recommended for dry skin, particularly on the hands, feet and elbows and it is suitable for adults and children.

Ingredients The Weleda skin food cream contains organic ingredients and this gives me confidence. I always find that Weleda products are good for my skin. The skin food contains sunflower seed oil, lanolin, sweet almond oil, beeswax, alcohol, organic pansy, chamomile and calendula. In addition to these ingredients, it contains limonene.

Results I enjoyed using this deeply nourishing Weleda Skin cream and found that it was absorbed into my skin easily, leaving no greasy residue on my skin. I found Weleda Skin Food especially effective on the hands, leaving them smooth and moisturised. It had a light, pleasant fragrance.

Pros: Weleda Skin Food Cream is an intensive, deeply nourishing cream.
• It can be used by both adults and children.
• It leaves the skin feeling smooth and moisturised.
The cream is especially recommended for dry or rough skin.

Cons: Weleda skin food contains a natural substance called limonene which is present in the peel of
citrus fruits but this can cause eye, skin and mucous membrane irritation in some people.
• It also contains alcohol.

Weleda Wild Rose Toner Reviews

Review of Weleda Wild Rose Toner
By Laura L.

Product description - Weleda describes this Facial Toner as a gentle tonic to invigorate the skin after cleansing. One of the main ingredients Rosehip oil (obtained from organic hand-picked roses) is one of the lightest and most beneficial oils. Weleda wild rose toner is rich in essential fatty acids, which the body cannot replenish as it ages. Organic Rose Hip oil helps to improve the skins elasticity and health, thus preventing the signs of premature aging. As with all Weleda products this Weleda Wild Rose Facial Toner is formulated naturally, without artificial fragrances, colours or preservatives.

Appearance - The Weleda rose Facial Toner comes in a very handy little 10ml (0.35 FL OZ) bottle which is an ideal make-up bag size. Product is well presented in attractive packaging. Although the packaging states that ‘detailed directions for use can be found on the in-pack leaflet’, there didn’t seem to be any. I just applied a small amount of the Weleda Wild Rose toner with cotton wool as I have with other toners in the past.

Consistency and smell - The Weleda Toner has a watery consistency as you would expect with any toner. It is yellowish in colour but clear. The smell of Weleda Wild Rose Toner is truly uplifting and very therapeutic. It has a fresh scent of rose which isn’t overpowering but very refreshing.

PerformanceI applied the Weleda Rose Toner after my usual cleansing routine. I applied it sparingly and my skin seemed to absorb it straight away. I then applied my normal moisturiser afterwards. I didn’t notice any instant effects from this Weleda Wild Rose Toner but after a few uses my skin did feel softer and more conditioned. I also noticed that me overall complexion improved after a few uses.

Disadvantages – if you were using this product every day you would probably need to buy a bigger size.

I would definitely recommend this product if you have dry/normal or blemished skin.

Trevarno Overnight Replenishing Cream Reviews

Review of Trevarno Overnight Replenishing Cream

By Kate F.

This Trevarno Overnight Replenishing Cream had a very nice creamy consistency and pale yellow colour. On applying the Trevarno night cream it took 10 minutes to disappear into my skin. There was no oiliness or stickiness and my skin felt beautifully silky. In the morning skin felt nourished, very soft and fresh. Trevarno had an unusual but very pleasant smell with undertones of what I recognised as liquorice. Unfortunately the ingredients of Trevarno Overnight Cream were not listed on the pot which I feel is essential to customers.

The packaging of Trevarno is quite basic but I liked it. It was simple and straightforward.

Pai Avocado Face Cream Reviews

Review of Pai Avocado & Jojoba Face Cream

By Catherine J.

Packaging The Pai Avocado Face Cream was packaged in a small see through pot that would be perfect for traveling. It had a screw top lid and it was easy to get a finger in to the pot to apply the Pai Avocado face cream. I prefer this type of container as you are able to get to the product and there is no waste.

Application As I spend a lot of time outdoors the change in the weather had left my skin feeling quite dry. The Pai Avocado & Jojoba Normal Skin Cream felt quite silky on my fingers and my skin felt moisturised after only a couple of days use. Pai Avocado Face Cream was easily absorbed and smelt delicious.

Ingredients Pai Avocado & Jojoba Skin Cream is full of natural products, avocado is rich in vitamins A, D and E as well as deep penetrating oils, which hydrate, nourish and soften the skin. Jojoba oil extracted from the seeds of a desert shrub helps keep skin soft and supple.

Results I have never tried Pai skincare products before and I am really pleased how good the Pai Avocado Face Cream was. I liked the fact that it was full of natural ingredients and was amazed at how fast I saw an improvement in my skin.

Pros: Easy to apply

  • Handy sized pot, good for travel
  • It smells delicious

Cons: None at all
