Weleda Wild Rose Day Cream

Review of Weleda Wild Rose Day Cream

By Ruth H.

Packaging: The Weleda Wild Rose Day Cream is packaged in an attractive pink tube contained in a recyclable box.

Application: The texture of the Weleda Rose Day cream is quite thick and didn’t glide easily across my skin. I used the cream in the morning after cleansing but found that my dry skin remained ‘tight’, although this did improve during the day. My current moisturiser (an organic product) has a creamer texture and is better for my skin. The Weleda Rose Day cream is marketed for normal-dry skin, but I feel that it is more suited to those with normal skin.

Ingredients: The Weleda product is preservative free and entirely natural. It doesn’t contain any petrochemicals, parabans, artificial fragrance or alcohol which can all cause skin problems. The packaging clearly shows all the ingredients and gives you confidence that the product itself is of a high quality and will be good for your skin.

Results: After using the Weleda Wild Rose cream for a week, I feel that although it is a high quality, beautifully scented product, it isn’t moisturising enough for my skin. However, if my skin were ‘normal’ I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this cream.

Pros: Beautifully scented with a rich texture

Hydrating and nourishing for ‘normal’ skin types

Cons: Perhaps not rich enough for dry skin

Quite a thick texture and sometimes difficult to apply
